OPEN LETTER TO THE KENYAN MALE YOUTH

Dear Kenyan Male Youth,

I hope this letter finds you well, even though on my side, I have deep worries and sorrows about our future. We have taken to all the negative vices like a fish takes to water. Drugs, gambling, theft you name it all. Where are we heading as the male youths of this country? To self destruction. You thought it was a joke when we were being told we are the future leaders. Well in a few we will be taking up that responsibility, the only problem is that am not sure whether if we are ready to wear that shoe.

The one thing am sure we are ready for is dating a light skin chiq, whom we have already pictured in our minds carrying our kids. You want her pregnant so that she'll sire a brown skin kid who has your blood running in their veins. For pete's sake is this where the society has gotten us to?(I hope Sauti Sol's Melanin jam will help us get it right with the complexion issue which is a menace on its own)

Where did we go wrong, we need to trace that bad step we took because it's turning us to the worst  male generation. Cry for us, yes you should be sobbing right now, cause have you taken your time and wondered what kind of fathers we are going to be? Ohhh....You didn't know that you were going to be a father in a few years from now? Then what about the light skin you want to impregnate so bad, do you think that kid will call you uncle? Well the joke is definitely on you because your wife is also waiting for you to be the head of a family, your family. To give them a positive moral direction, financial stability, security to mention just but a few. But what are we doing? Spending more than half of the day analyzing soccer matches so that we can place a bet on the way too many gambling sites, then later on we'll say how these gambling sites "zinanyonya".

Now you are shedding tears, need a tissue?

When was the last time you had a manly conversation with your dad? You don't have a dad, talk to your uncle, if not get a father figure and do the talking with them. Have a conversation with them when mending the fences, herding the cows, when you are out the two of you. I know it's not that easy to have a conversation with them but start up with a random topic then get on to serious business. We need their advices in the steps we are to take in life and that's why what an old man sees when he's seated a child cannot see on top of a tree.

We have to get this right. The earth does not need your "coolness" to keep on rotating around the sun; but your family in the near future will need your knowledge and wisdom to keep them on the right path. Invest with the little you have, it will pay off. That's the one thing my dad keeps on telling me. Everything has a starting point, it does not take the swinging of a magic wand to be a business mogul, but years of great investment, hard work and ambition. Let's not wait nor work for these short cuts, cause when it comes crumbling it will be hard to pick up ourselves. Let's be responsible for all that we have done and we are going to do. We need no more dead beat fathers, drunkards, thugs, jobless and irresponsible youths. Let's start living responsibly like our fore fathers and fathers for the oncoming male generations to be a success; because when their time to lead comes, what mantle will we bring forth to them?

Yours Faithfully,
Osman Ngunyi

BEEF,THE NEW STAPLE FOOD IN KENYA 1

The new staple food in Kenya is beef. The father,or is it more accurate to say the "legendary" beef is between  The NASA members VS The Jubilee members. They can't see eye to eye on any political matter. The words exchanged by both members of the different political parties on social media is very distasteful, disrespectful, portrays immaturity and sadly it gets to tribalism. The views and comments written makes you wonder if the person who was writing it thought it was not going to be read by someone else, that it vanishes into thin air or maybe the internet belongs to them and the members of their political parties or it's their personal diary. It's your right to be entitled to your own views but remember not everyone will agree with it but it is wise to respect other peoples decision even If you don't share the same views that's if you want others to respect your views as well.
Some people have been preaching about peace, most especially the public figures.Trust me am not going down that road,to castigate you on what's right or wrong?I'll pass that, cause that's not my job,if you're above the age of 13 (yes you read it right 13) you know the difference between good and bad.A 13 year old may think, behave and act dumb which makes them end up  making dumb decisions due to lack of experience but trust me they know the difference between good and evil.So what about you an over 18 year old?
You want me to teach you on the importance of having peace in our country? Were you not present during the post election violence in 2007?Did you see the amount of blood shed which still remains  scars to our wounds till to date cause of losing a beloved one, friend, neighbour, colleague,a Kenyan due to tribalism?
Some have said that the people spreading the hate speech are younger fellas of the age gap 25 and below cause they never knew what was exactly happening during the post election violence period.Well the joke and shock is definitely on them cause what about the over 40 year old politicians asking "their people" to fight certain communities cause they do not belong to their political parties or support their political ideologies.Do they suddenly get below the age of 25?What about that guy whom you see on social media posting nothing but hateful tribalism remarks. With all that port belly he carries around and the family he has(you can tell this from the photos he uploads on social media of his family)you expect him to think past his belly but that's not the case;what about him?Did he also magically turn into the age gap of below 25?I am 20 and I experienced all this and I wouldn't wish anything of that sort on my worst enemy.Sleeping out in the cold, not knowing when you're going to have your next meal, not sure whether if all your family members are okay, seeing dead bodies beside the road and you'll expect me to go ahead and type any stupid thing that can fuel all this to come back for a reround? You must be joking right? But am not here to tell you what to do or not to do that's totally up to you.If you feel that's the way you want to go then go for it.I do even have a special advice for you,go ahead and create a special account on social media for tribalism, talk about how you're going to massacre everyone in fact go ahead and buy machetes but may all this come back to you and your family and all your loved ones in double measures, may all this calamity fall in front of your door step.Because the person whom you want to kill is someone's father, mother, brother, sister, fiancee, loved one so think twice before you make any stupid utterances.

Dusk Till Dawn.Music Alert!!!!

My first reaction when I saw the video to this song by Zayn Malik who teamed up with Sia to give us dusk till dawn;was that it had scenes of a movie in it.Am sure you are asking yourself why?Because it has great action scenes that can only be linked to a movie something which I should give a big thumbs up to the director,Marc Webb.I hope one of the movie directors in Holy wood gets a hold of this and creates such a similar story cause it will definitely be a movie to look out for.

Now into the music, the lyrics are... let me choose the correct word and underline it,perfect,Once you analyze it you immediately want to dedicate it to someone whom you love so dearly cause it will  get them hooked.Sia's vocals goddamn girl oops! my bad lady, are on point it made me try to exercise my vocal codes which left me with a sore throat and another pinch to my ego at how bad I am at singing.S/O to Zayn and Sia for hooking us with this jam

If you have not yet watched the video click down on the link below and let me know your opinions

FAMOUS NOSY TALK,NO JUST AN ATTENTION SEEKER

I
t usually gets to me when someone wants to play Hollywood profile and yet they are clearly miles and more miles away from it.I was in a matatu yesterday from westy (which is Westlands)to town(Nairobi) .I sat next to this guy who was on his phone and after some few minutes of me having taken my seat, this guy started facing the other side and after time to time he would look at me and try to see if I was checking out what he was doing on his phone.I could see all this from a side glance  and I tried to play cool AF to show him that I was not up on his business so that he would let down his "guard" on whatever he was doing on his phone

Have you ever been in this position where someone gives you this guilty look that tries to make you own up to some sh** that  you clearly knew nothing about? Then this was it.I even decided to boot up my phone which I was sure was “dead” because I hadn`t charge it the previous night and when my phone didn`t give me a miracle of "coming back to life" I decided to look outside the window to strongly pass my message that I was not nosy at all,but that never worked. He went on with this act for a while and I couldn`t take it anymore. When one of the passengers alighted and there was a vacant seat,I decided to move into it because the rate this fella was heading to was getting me irked quite fast.

That`s when I thought that maybe when he was going to hook up with his friends that evening he`ld be all like “Me nachukia wasee wenye huchungulia phone ya watu wakijaribu kusoma what they are doing.Imagine there was this dude who was trying to read my conversation kwa mattNKT!Such a nosy perv.”Am sure we have all heard such a statement or something close to that from someone whom we know or we might even have said this;but how sure are you about this statement?Because the person who had said it might have been someone just like this fella or you might have been behaving the same way. Don`t get me wrong,I know there are nosy people but with such behaviors, bruh that’s too much.

This clearly shows how much he wanted me to check out whatever he was doing so that the next time he would be giving the famous nosy talk he`ld play a victim of it;so bruh (and all the people of the same character) next time before you start acting all hollywood status so that you feel “cool” in whatever you are doing, remember there are some of us who don’t care whatever isht you`re upto, but rather it irritates us when you try to get us involved in it so that we can notice how "cool" you are.And if you cant get over this act then you better start seeing  a psychiatrist because it might be Attention Deficit Hypereactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Word of advice if you feel like you don’t want anyone up on your “private business” then please don’t do your  “private thing ” in a public place because it’s for the PUBLIC.And if you have hollywood status but you cant afford a motti yet, then do yourself some  favour and respect and hail an uber and give us peace in our matatu rides or BEHAVE
